According to crackpot
author David Montaigne, God will return to earth to judge humanity
this December – spelling the end of life as we know it. In his 2013 book
"End Times and 2019: The End of the Mayan Calendar and the Countdown to
Judgment Day", Montaigne claims it is written in the stars that this year
will be humanity's last.

He says a particular
alignment of the stars described by biblical writers and races like the
Maya marks Judgement Day. That alignment will happen in December this year
according to Montaigne, sparking a string of apocalyptic events over seven
days. He writes on his website:
“On December 21, 2019, survivors will experience the first day of a pole shift – when the entire surface of the planet will shift out of position and move over the more fluid layers beneath the crust. Over the next few days this will cause earthquakes and tidal waves and volcanic activity which will almost completely destroy what is left of our civilization.”
“There is a mountain of evidence in historical, geological, and biological records showing such pole shifts have happened before. Even the Bible describes them repeatedly. I think that we will experience another pole shift for the week following December 21, 2019, getting worse each day until the natural disasters culminate on December 28 – Judgment Day.”
Historically, the North and
South magnetic poles have flipped every 200,000 to 300,000 years. In fact,
they've happened hundreds of times over the past three billion years. The flips
typically occur over several thousand years – not a few days – and weaken
Earth's magnetic field, though scientists don't predict this will cause a
global weather catastrophe.
Montaigne has previously
claimed that the anti-Christ would come to Earth on June 6, 2016. He said the
biblical figure would arise in the United States, possibly through the body of
then-US President Barack Obama. Obviously, the crackpot author's claim did not
come to fruition, allowing him a second bite at the cherry in 2019.
Montaigne isn't the first
person to claim that races like the Maya predicted the Apocalypse. Author
Ronald Weinland claims the apocalypse will come on June 9, 2019, based on his
readings of Mayan texts. Weinland previously made failed predictions of
Armageddon in 2011, 2012, and 2013.
